Calling all Corvallisites! Are you interested in becoming more involved in your local community? The Corvallis Independent Business Alliance (CIBA), in cooperation with ten other local organizations, will be hosting presentations and discussions focused on community banking, local investing, developing cooperatives, and local currency, at the First Presbyterian Church (Dennis Hall) on 9th & Monroe. Presenters include Christopher Legg of Occupy Corvallis, on community banking; Amy Pearl of Springboard Innovation, exploring local investing; Cindee Lolik of First Alternative Co-op, discussing cooperatives; and Cheryl Good of HOUR Exchange, explaining local currency.
