Ready to get your gay pride on, Corvallis? Reserve your first Friday of every month for “Rainbow in the Clouds” at Cloud and Kelly’s Public House, and celebrate the diversity of our town with a wild night of drinks and dancing. The party starts at 10 p.m. and lasts until 1 or 2 in the morning.
“It is my absolute favorite group to bartend for,’ says Cloud and Kelly’s weekend manager Morgan Maier. “People are patient, and kind, and fun…they are a super high-energy crowd, and just so welcoming.”
The party includes a photo booth, drink specials, the regular late night menu, a rotation of dance-friendly DJs, and the occasional drag performance. Costumes are encouraged, with past themes including Gaytriotic, Back to Catholic School, and G80s Night. This Friday’s “Spanksgiving” is fetish themed.
“They know how to have fun, but respectfully,” Maier adds. “LGBT is the basis for it, but that community is all about open arms, and accepting anybody that wants to come by and have a good time.”
Rainbow in the Clouds is organized by Full Spectrum Productions, and fundraises for a different local gay organization every month.
“Spanksgiving” is Friday, Nov. 2 and benefits Rainbow Health Resources. Featuring DJ Suzie Q. $3 cover; 21+ event.
