OSU Celebrates Queer History Month

OSU celebrates Queer History Month with events on almost every day of October on campus. The month kicked off with a keynote address on Wednesday, Oct. 3 by Lt. Dan Choi, a gay activist discharged from the United States Army under its “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy. Highlights include an LGBTQ Pride Panel on Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 3 p.m. in MU 213 and the OSU Fall Drag Show on Friday, Oct. 26 at 8 p.m. in the MU Ballroom. The celebration runs the gamut from health (free HIV testing on Monday, Oct. 8 and Tuesday, Oct. 30) to a Queer Fair on Friday, Oct. 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in MU 213 and popular culture (Queers in Space: LGBTQ in Recent Sci-Fi TV & Movies on Friday, Oct. 19 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Pride Center).
