NOM NOM NOM!!! In partnership with the Corvallis Sustainability Coalition, this is one of the best kept secrets around here IMO. Each tour even has a unique stop that you can only check out that day. All tours run Thursdays from 6pm to 8pm and begin at SAGE Garden. After today’s tour, the next will be on September 20. For more info visit, http://bountifulbackyard.org/edible-garden-tours/.

Bard in the Quad: The Tempest

Memorial Union Quad, 2501 SW Jefferson Way, Corvallis. $5-$15.

Honestly, it could be called Bard in the Dumpster and I’d still want to be there. A Corvallis tradition, these Shakespearean performances on the Oregon State University Quad are always well worth the time and money. This is definitely not the only day this is going on, so be sure to check out https://www.visitcorvallis.com/articles/bard-in-the-quad-at-osu-to-present-the-tempest-in-august. Oh, and don’t forget to bring a towel or some kind of comfortable low-backed chair!

If This, These / Straya

Bombs Away Café, 2527 NW Monroe Ave., Corvallis. $5.

When people say “use your words,” this isn’t what they meant. In this case, use your ears: https://ifthisthese.bandcamp.com/releases. and https://straya.bandcamp.com/. Not that you really have to weigh whether or not to catch a Bombs show, both of these bands are exceptional. For only $5, do yourself a favor!
