Arts Center Seeks Entries for Youth Exhibit

Are you an aspiring artist still in school, recently graduated, or have you raised a young Picasso? If it’s frame-worthy, the Arts Center in downtown Corvallis is looking for young artists, ages 5 to 25, in a variety of mediums. The theme of this exhibit is cultural identity, and the Arts Center seeks work that reflects cultural expression from a diversity of perspectives.

Artwork can be visual, literary, digital, tactile, or multimedia. The Arts Center is accepting work from now until April 28, 2018 at 5 p.m. Only one piece is accepted per artist. Check the Arts Center website for formatting and size limitations. Artists should submit their work with an artist statement, artist name, a description of the work, and what the work represents. Submissions have no entrance fee.

For more information, contact Jen Hernandez-Cornelius by email, jenc@theartscenter.net or by phone, 541-754-1551 ext. 655.

The 2018 Young Artists Exhibit runs from May 1 to May 19 at the Arts Center located at 700 SW Madison Avenue in Corvallis. The Arts Center is open Tuesday through Saturday, 12-5pm and admission is free.
