Oddly Eclectic Antiques: The Blend Celebrates its Fifth Year

For five years, The Blend has been bringing vendors from all over Oregon together for a two-day specialty sale in Corvallis. Unlike many shows that focus on one style, here you can find shabby chic, up-cycled, re-purposed, industrial, antique, mid-century modern, and much more. With 22 vendors to choose from, there’s sure to be something for everyone.

The show’s founder, Sally Swing, took her passion for finding items at sales in the area, and decided Corvallis needed another opportunity for shoppers to find unique goods.

“I think what makes The Blend stand out from other small shows is what I like to call the specialty boutique vendors. For the most part, these very talented entrepreneurs don’t spend their summers traveling from show to show,” Swing says.

In addition to the art, jewelry, and other hand-made goods you’ll find at The Blend, this year Swing will feature more food carts. Now, while you shop you can enjoy ice cream from On Any Sundae, tri-tip beef and chicken from Smoke’n Oak BBQ, as well as great Mexican food from Natalie’s Mexi-Kart, and sno-cones from Kona Ice.

Admission is free, so do yourself a favor and check out The Blend on Saturday, August 26 and Sunday, August 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. You can find all the action in the Floral Courtyard at the Benton County Fairgrounds. Happy shopping!
