Wild Hog in the Woods. Calapooia Brewing Company, 140 Hill St. NE, Albany. 7:30 p.m. Free.
You may see me plug this band a lot. Wondering why? It’s because they put on great shows, and they do it all the time. Now that I think about it, maybe that’s why they’re so good. Either way, if you haven’t caught them yet, do the thing. Calapooia doubles as a wonderful taproom. The Chili Beer is killer – so much so that I can’t remember what the food is like personally, but have heard good things. For info, visit calapooiabrewing.com/blog/live-music-and-events/. Death Café Corvallis. Interzone, 1563 NW Monroe Ave., Corvallis. 12 p.m. Free.
Corvallis is lucky to have this group. Unfamiliar with the term “death positive?” Let’s correct that. If you have thoughts on mortality, come talk truth on death. Listen, join in, both… no matter. No judgments. Not a support group, no agenda, no debate, no sales pitch, no over religious component. Just a welcoming, thoughtful, great place to be. And of course, very much confidential. Not sold? There’s also tea and cake. For info, visit facebook.com/groups/deathcafecorvallis or email email@example.com
