Tried and True Coffee Company is due to expand to location number two. Aiming to serve their quality coffee to Southtown, the second store will be found at 120 SW Cummings Ave. Opening day is set to land on Oct. 20 — a fitting date, considering it doubles as the two-year anniversary of their original grand opening.
While still serving the tried and true Bespoken coffee, the new location will also offer “more food, beer on tap, and wine,” says Amelia Wimmer, manager of Tried and True. These offerings are available in part due to the increased space of the new place. It was a Jiffy Lube in another life, so it retains that garage aesthetic, with big roll-up doors and roomy interior. The original Tried and True will remain open, but with the addition of a second shop, the hope is that a bit of their busy business migrates to the new location, alleviating the heavy demand for that mid-day pick-me-up at either locale.
