If you are a fan of quilts and gardens, you are in for a big treat. On Saturday, July 23, the Marys River Quilt Guild is sponsoring its bi-annual Quilts in the Garden event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Quilts in the Garden will offer a tour of six different gardens in Corvallis and feature 300 quilts handmade by Guild members.
The quilts featured in the gardens will focus on different themes such as Little Wonders, A Bit of Whimsy, Celebrations, and more. Each garden has parking nearby, or individuals can take a free shuttle bus that will stop at all six locations. The six gardens on the tour are Maze Garden, Terry Garden, Heublein Garden, Athay Garden, Edge Garden, and Clark Garden.
Tickets to Quilts in the Garden are $10 and will be available to purchase at each of the six gardens, or sooner at the Corvallis Chamber of Commerce, Farland Nursery, Shonnard’s, Schmidt’s Garden Center, Home Grown Gardens, Tom’s Garden Center, Quiltwork Patches, and Jannilou Creations. The free shuttle bus will stop at Linus Pauling Middle School, Cloverland City Park, the Corvallis School District 509J office, and the Sunset Shopping Center on the east side of Safeway.
