Parks & Rec Wants You

parks-and-recCorvallis Parks & Recreation has a new logo poised to take over all of the old signage and letterheads once adorned with the silhouette of our town, trees, and mountains. Before that can happen, though, all the old logos must be accounted for. Not to worry—the new logo looks great. But that’s not the point. The point is that Corvallis Parks & Rec was so fervent in their mission to spread parks and recreation to all citizens of our fair city that signage sporting the old logo is literally scattered all across the land. Oops!

To help transition to the new logo, they are asking for your help. If you see one of the old logos somewhere, send a Facebook message to the Corvallis Parks & Recreation page with your contact information as well as details about when and where you saw the old logo. Each submitted sighting will enter you for a chance to win a $25 Parks & Recreation gift card, valid at Parks & Recreation or any of its facilities including the Majestic Theatre, the Chintimini Senior and Community Center, and the Osborn Aquatic Center.

Multiple entries are encouraged, so think of this less as buying a raffle ticket for a good cause and more of a scavenger hunt—except the scavenger hunt is also for a good cause. Get your entries in soon, because the deadline to be considered for the drawing is Wednesday, Nov. 30.
