Corvallis is a town of technology and logic. From da Vinci Days to HP and OSU, we worship science. But there’s another side to our fair city, an alternative mindset. This side embraces spirituality, energy work, and a whole other dimension of thought. Whether you reside in the yin or the yang, Robert Jon and Michael Swindle invite you to join them for a day of relaxation and cleansing at the Mystical Magical May Faire.
As coordinators of the event, Jon and Swindle have booked psychics, mediums, massage therapists, aura cleansers, and tarot card readers to appear. Notable mystical arts will include transformational color energy readings from Leslie Romine and aura cleansing by Jan Duke. Local Reiki teacher Margot Vance-Borland will be offering sessions and providing information about mindfulness-based Hakomi psychotherapy. Information tables, apparel makers, and craft vendors will round out the eclectic group on hand. Jon and Swindle will also be displaying their wares. The two make wire-wrapped gemstone jewelry as LM Products, Jewelry, and Gems.
Not quite enough to pique your curiosity? Jody Gonzalez, reader of pets, will be located just outside to meet your four-legged best friends.
Jon was raised in Corvallis, and has always seen it as a magical city. However, he thinks the New Age community is not always visible. Events like this fair could change that.
“It’s time to open doors and open minds to new possibilities and new ways of both living and thinking,” he said.
The Mystical Magical May Faire will be held at the Elks Club at 1400 NW 9th Street on Saturday, May 23 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is free. For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
