This upcoming Corvallis City Club meeting will feature Dave Eckert as a panelist along with Lisa Franklin. They will discuss the practical and regulatory aspects of rain and greywater uses and storage for homeowners and local businesses. Learn firsthand what’s legal and what neighboring communities have been up to.
Eckhert, head of the Water Conservation Coalition, has been helping people install these systems for over 20 years and has made films about rainwater collection. He’s led local projects that have resulted in Corvallis permits for rainwater systems in 2008, as well as greywater systems in 2012.
Franklin oversees the city’s rainwater collection permitting process as an engineer for the City of Corvallis. She reviews site engineering and right-of-way matters involved in the development of these systems.
The City Club meets in the Les Schwab Gym at the Boys and Girls Club of Corvallis, 1112 NW Circle Boulevard. The meeting is on Monday, May 12 and will begin at noon. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. Attendance is free. There will be a catered buffet lunch from Nearly Normals: $10 for members, $12 for non-members. To register for this event send an email to email@example.com with “City Club May 12” in the subject line by May 9 and please indicate if you’re planning to have lunch.
