What do you get when you combine strolling along in beautiful downtown Corvallis and the chance to taste delicious Oregon wines? Heaven, maybe? Close. It’s the return of a venerable community favorite, Rhapsody in the Vineyard Wine Walk, on Saturday, March 22.
If you’re a Corvallisite who’s never been to this popular event, it’s the perfect opportunity to grab a few friends and see what you’ve been missing. To get started, Rhapsody guests will buy a required $5 Vineyard-logo glass and ID wristband along with a 10 scrip of $10 tickets at participating retail shops: Footwise, the Inkwell, Sibling Revelry, the Toy Factory, and the Modern Avenue Boutique. After that it’s off to the races.
Downtown retailers play host to regional wineries, distilleries, and cider houses offering samples of their best selections, accompanied by appetizers, music, and art. Each will have a representative vendor in attendance to discuss their beverages and answer any questions. If you like what you’ve tasted, bottles and cases will be available for purchase.
Making tasting appearances this time at Rhapsody in the Vineyard will be Depoe Bay Winery, Emerson Vineyards, Vivacity Spirits, Spindrift Cellars, and many more.
Starting at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 22 you can stop by any of the participating businesses to purchase the required aforementioned accoutrement; the event runs from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
