City Club to Talk Residential Parking Proposals Over Lunch

City Club LogoCan’t find a parking spot around campus, work or at home? Is there no refuge even in your own driveway? Well, you’re certainly not alone, and city leaders are gathering to talk solutions.

The upcoming City Club meeting will feature guest speakers Steve Clark and Courtney Cloyd of the Collaboration Corvallis Parking and Traffic Work Group, as well as city council member Dan Brown. They’ll bring their considerable experience to the table in order to lead a panel discussion on residential parking proposals.

The proposals themselves, which must receive city approval by September 2014 in order to be implemented, are the foundation of an attempt to decrease parking congestion in residential neighborhoods by expanding the number of parking districts around the Oregon State University campus.

Do you have questions, concerns? There’s never been a better opportunity to listen, learn and make your voice heard on this important issue.

The meeting is free to attend and starts at noon at the Les Schwab Boys & Girls Club gym; doors will open at 11:30a.m. Laughing Planet will serve lunch to members for $10 and $12 for non-members.
