With OSU’s Ecampus expanding annually, new ideas for working within existing systems as well as creating new systems altogether are of the utmost importance. At this upcoming Corvallis City Club Meeting, online course veteran and OSU biochemistry instructor Kevin Ahern will discuss related teaching experience as well as attempt to “demystify the term ‘massive open online course (MOOC)’” How do the experiences of classroom teaching and learning compare to that of the e-course? Is e-learning a realistic replacement for established, in-person education?
