SAGE Concert Series Seeks Sponsorship: Local Music Supporting Local Families

sageThe SAGE Concert Series is still seeking sponsors to help offset logistical costs. SAGE garden, part of the Edible Corvallis Initiative, provides education, gardening opportunities, and over 7,000 pounds of organic produce to residents in need—and will be the recipient of all donations of the SAGE Concert Series, an event conceived of by local musician Karen DeWolfe. Sponsorships begin at $100, and offer publicity during the event. Current sponsors include Nectar Creek Honeywine, Chintimini Farm, Body of Health Chiropractic and Wellness Center, and Greenwillow Grains. Contact DeWolfe at dewolfekaren@hotmail.com or 541-753-4066 to arrange a sponsorship.

The series takes place on Thursdays, July 11 and July 25 at the Bruce Starker Arts Ampitheater, with shows beginning at 6 p.m. Families are strongly encouraged to attend for a summer evening of music and fun in the park—don’t forget your picnic blanket! Music will be a mix of folk, rock, jam, bluegrass, and country, featuring bands such as Psych Country Revue, the Red Oak Rounders, the Hunks and the Hottie, DeWolfe’s bands Meatbomb and the Brutal Bridges, and the Crooked River Ramblers. There will also be vendors offering local beers, cider, baked goods, and more. The suggested donation is $10 per family. Find out more at www.facebook.com/SageConcertSeries.
